How to reach Compiègne?



Compiègne is a city in northern France. It is located on the Oise Department.

By plane

The closest airport to UTC is Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle international airport (named also Roissy-CDG or Paris-CDG or Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle), which has connections from all around the world.

From the CDG airport you can reach Compiègne by train, using first the train shuttle RER B from Roissy-CDG to Paris Gare-du-Nord station (about 25mn, shuttle every 10 or 15mn in the week) and then from Paris-Gare-du-Nord station a train bound for Compiègne or bound for Saint-Quentin, which stops at Compiègne (40mn to 50mn depending on the train).

If you land at the Orly airport, take the Orlyval Metro to station Anthony (8mn), then take RER B to Paris-Gare-du-Nord station (28mn). See above for the indications from Gare du Nord. From the Orly airport you can also take a taxi. The travel takes around 1 hour and half when there is no traffic. You can also land at the Airport of Beauvais, around 60 km from Compiegne. From the Beauvais airport you can take a taxi. The travel takes 1 hour.

By train

Take a train from Paris-Gare-du-Nord station bound for for Compiègne or bound for Saint-Quentin, which stops at Compiègne (40mn to 50mn depending on the train). From Compiègne railway station to the Conference site take the Bus nº 5 (Compiègne public buses are free of charge) and stop at the Centre de Recherches bus stop, or take a Taxi in front the railway station.

By  car

From Paris, take the high-way A1 (Direction Lille) and exit at Exit n°9 (Compiègne Sud).
